Design Scheme of Closed Circulating Fluidized Bed

1、 Design conditions

1. Material parameters

Material name: Material containing ethanol or alkyl solvents

Material moisture content; Initial moisture content 5%, final moisture content 0.5%

(Wet materials are calculated based on 45% ethanol and 5% water content)

Feed temperature: room temperature

Material fineness: 50-250 mesh

Material heating temperature: 35-11 ℃

Material characteristics: weak acid, alkaline pH 2-9

2. Public works section

Heat source: 0.4MPa steam

Cold source: chilled water -8 ℃, 30T/h

Cooling water (around 28 ℃ in summer and 5 ℃ in winter) 200T/h

Nitrogen 4kg/cm ² 90m ³/h

3. Require design capability

1) 1000-1300kg/batch, drying time 3-4 hours, final moisture content below 0.5%

2) Continuous discharge (storage container)

3) Easy to clean: The inner wall of the bed reaches a mirror finish

4) System washable (pipes, condenser)

5) System pressure resistance 0.05MPa (including fan, mixer, heater)


2、 Process Calculation

1. The amount of wet material containing ethanol

2. Quantity of wet materials containing water

Total amount of wet materials

2364+1361-1300=2425kg/batch

Evaporation and ethanol content

W=2364-1300

=1064kg/batch

Ethanol evaporation rate per low hour 1064/3=355kg/h


Evaporation water volume

W=1361-1300

=61kg/batch


Evaporation rate at low intervals

61/3≈21kg/h


4. Heat Calculation

Q=355×(60-15)×0.4+355×204

=6390+72420

=78810 kcal/h


Specific heat of 0.4 ethanol

204- Thermal gasification of ethanol

60- Temperature at the outlet of the fluidized bed

15- Room temperature

Q=21×(60-15)×1+21×595

=945+12495

=13440 kcal/h 595- Heat of vaporization

Q=(2364+61)×0.9×(60-15)

=98212 high calorie/h

Q=Q+Q+Q

=78810+13440+98212

=190462 kcal/h

Q=Q × 1.2=228555 kcal/h
